Life circumstances of Hazrat Abraha (RA)
Name and lineage:
Abraha was a resident of Syria or Abyssinia and was a Christian by religion. No other details about his name and lineage are found in the books of Rijal.
Islam:
It cannot be said with certainty when and where he accepted Islam, but the evidence shows that when many companions migrated from Mecca to Abyssinia and were well-received in the court of Negus, and through them the people of Abyssinia got the opportunity to become acquainted with Islam, Negus himself and many Christian scholars accepted Islam with him. Probably, Hazrat Abraha (RA) and his other companions were also among those who accepted Islam.
Attendance in the service of the Prophet (PBUH):
Those people from the people of Abyssinia who had accepted Islam. They had a great desire to visit the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Coincidentally, in the meantime, the Abyssinian emigrants had returned to Medina with Hazrat Jafar (RA). Hazrat Abraha (RA) also came to Medina with the same caravan and was honored with the visit of the Prophet (PBUH).
Battles:
When the Muslims were victorious in the Battle of Badr and the news of it reached Abyssinia, those who had converted to Islam in Abyssinia expressed their desire to go to Medina and visit the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the Negus. So he took permission and came to Medina and participated in the Battle of Uhud, in which Hazrat Abraha (RA) was also present.
Death:
The year of death and other circumstances of life are not known.
