Name and lineage:
Alqamah and Abdullah are known by the name Abu Muawiyah, nickname Ibn Abi Aufi. The lineage is as follows: Alqamah bin Khalid bin Harith bin Abi Usaid bin Rifaa bin Tha'labah bin Hawazin bin Aslam bin Aqsa.
Islam and expeditions:
Before the Hudaybiyah peace treaty, he embraced Islam and was a companion of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Hudaybiyah. He earned the honor of sacrificing his life in the pledge of Ridwan. After Hudaybiyah, the Khaibar expedition was the first to land on this battlefield. Then, in Hunain, Dad Shujaat received a sharp wound in his hand, the scar of which remained for a long time. After the conquest of Mecca, he participated in Hunain and in seven battles in the defense of Islam, his sword was unsheathed, and with such dedication and sacrifice that in some battles he had to live only by eating locusts to save his life.
Death:
Hazrat Ibn Abi Aufi lived to a ripe old age, surviving until the Umayyad era. In his later years, he became blind and died in the same condition between the ages of 86 and 88. He was the last of the Prophet's companions to die in Kufa.
