Name and lineage:

Hazrat Ibrahim bin Harith bin Khalid bin Sakhr bin Amir bin Ka'b bin Sa'd bin Taymi bin Murrah Haymi Qurayshi.

Islam and migration:

Imam Bukhari says that he was among those who migrated with his father and it was narrated from Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal that he mentioned Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Harith and said that his father was among the emigrants. Ibn Ainiyah narrated from Muhammad bin Munkadr that he narrated from Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Harith Haymi from his father that he said that the Messenger of Allah sent us on an army and the Messenger of Allah ordered us to recite this every evening and morning: "Did you think that We created you in vain and that you will not return to us?" So we kept reciting it and returned with booty. Ibn Mandah and Abu Nu'aym have mentioned this.
